My new idea

Well - with the kids being off school it has certainly been hectic and interesting to say the least. They have been helping - or not as the case my be to come up with ideas and create some new art. After 5 minutes their mission was accomplished and they had moved on however, i had not!

I came up with the great idea (well, hopefully great) to do a series of painting all with the same theme - The Adventures of Fiori The Fairy. I must say i have been quite pleased with the results. So far i have painted Fiori The Fairy and the Magic Tree and then Fiori The Fairy and The Flower Garden. They are minature stretched canvas's 6" x 6", painted with acrylics and i will be continuing the series for a little while longer.

Are you really Little Red Riding Hood?

Hi all

Just finished my canvas. As i said it is a Fairytale with a twist. Little Red Riding Hood has taken matters into her own hands and has had to kill the wolf all by herself. You really don't want to mess with this little girl!!!!

Painted onto a canvas 30cms x 40cms in acrylics. Available to buy on my etsy store http://fairywhisperart.etsy.com/

Little Red Riding in progress

The next leg of my arty journal commences with a sneaky peak at my newest canvas.

I started off with the idea of Fairytales after seeing some inspiring artwork in one of my sons old bedtime books. I toyed with many ideas before settling on 'Little Red Riding Hood'. I want the girl in my picture to look a bit haunting and scared - as for the background, i'm feeling a dark forest with lots of spooky trees although they have not been attempted yet!

I'm painting in acrylics and as usual when the canvas is fully complete it will be posted for sale on http://FairyWhisperArt.etsy.com

BEAUTIFUL BLYTHES!!!!!!!

My sisters got a lot to answer for!!!!!

A few weeks ago she introduced me to Blythe Dolls. Since then my life has not been the same. I am living, eating and breathing Blythes - and now i am painting them (well, she is still a fairy).

They are a lovely subject matter to paint and the customised Blythes are all so unique which gives me never ending possibilities.

My mission now is to carry on painting a few more Blythe dolls and see if theres any interest fior them. If not - heh, i might carry on anyway!! Its so much fun.
